Code Compliance

The Code Compliance Division of the Development Services Department is responsible for enforcing the Blythe Municipal Codes, California Building Codes and California Health and Safety Codes to improve the aesthetics and enhance the environment and character of the City of Blythe.

The primary purpose of the Code Compliance Program is to bring to the attention of residential and business property owners existing code violations that could have a negative impact on their property, neighborhood, or the community as a whole.  Such conditions are often referred to as “Public Nuisances”.  However, through education, voluntary compliance, cooperation and a spirit of personal responsibility for the well being of our community, such conditions can be eliminated and this program will succeed in making the City of Blythe an even better place in which to live, work and play.

This web page is developed to assist residents, business and property owners in understanding some of Blythe’s minimum code standards. For more information on various code compliance issues click on the following links.
