Sealed proposals for the work described in the contract document entitled: Demolition and abatement on S. Main Street  will be received at the City of Blythe, Office of the City Clerk, 235 North Broadway, Blythe, California, 92225 until Tuesday, December 05, 2023, AT 2:00 PM prevailing local time. 

The City will receive questions concerning the project via email to City Clerk Mallory Crecelius at msutterfield@cityofblythe.ca.gov until Friday, November 17, 2023 at 4:00 PM. The City will respond to questions concerning the project by WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2023, AT 4:00 PM. 

Sole responsibility rests with the bidder to ensure that their proposal is received on time at the stated location, either in person, or via mail or express delivery.  Proposals received after the established date and time will not be considered, and any proposals so received shall be deemed non-responsive and returned to the bidder.

Proposals shall conform to the specification of the Invitation for Proposal.  The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any combination thereof, to waive any informality or irregularity in the proposal and evaluation process and make award in the best interest of the City.  Bidder(s) may bid any one section or multiple sections or all sections.

Project Description: The project consists of removing the structures from property located at 226 and 228 S. Main Street in Blythe, CA.  The property contains asbestos and possibly lead.  The project consists of removing all trees and shrubs, removing all concrete that is not foundation including any stem walls and removal of all fencing. Contractors will be required to dispose of all debris in a lawful manner and will be required to cap the sewer main.   Contractors shall ensure that all utilities are safe and secure per the utilities’ operating procedures.  The property shall be flat and free of debris at the completion of the project.  This project will be court ordered via an abatement warrant.
